Undertow by Dashel Unknowns are seductive. Charged with opportunity, pursuing their promise can become a precarious preoccupation. Undertow is a six piece collection that explores the perpetual chase of this elusive high. Referencing the array of colour that reflects off oil pooled in water, the ‘spills’ themselves were created with gouache. Portraiture detailing was created with graphite.
